Mouth 2 Mouth Run 2009
This years Mouth 2 Mouth is on the 20th September this
year and we are hoping for not only great weather on the day but for
a record turn out of minis! As you will know if you followed the progress of 2008s run, we had a
turnout of 37 minis which raised £160 for Weymouth Lifeboat. It was
our first year of opening our run to the public and we were very
pleased with the success we had. This year, with 2009 being the 50th
anniversary of our favourite little car, we would love to see 100
minis around the rugby track at Exmouth and raise £500 for the
lifeboat. I hope that all the friends we made on last years run will
join us again this year!
Publicity for the events has been gaining ground and on the 24th
June an article on the run was published in the Dorset Echo. We have
also been featured in Mini Magazine and Mini World. We should also
have a feature in the Blackmore Vale and the Bridport News shortly;
we have even been mentioned in the Wool Parish News! Leaflets have
been handed out at lots of mini events including Beaulieu, Poole
Quay and shortly at Powderham Castle and Portland Steam Fair.
After last years event we sent a feedback form to all entrants to
see what everyone thought about the day and what we could do to
improve for this year. Some of the comments included arranging
breakfast at the start of the day, having a BBQ in Exmouth and
changing some of the route. We are happy to have been able to
accommodate pretty much all of the requests we had and we hope to
make this a much bigger and better event.
Along with breakfast and a BBQ we have also included in the day:
·
Goody bags for entrants which will include amongst other things some
Autoglym resin polish
·
Free raffle ticket for every entrant to win a years subscription of
Mini Magazine further raffle tickets available for 50p each on the
day
·
A
stop over at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary for refreshments
Closing date for entry forms is 31st July.
All in all a great day planned watch this space for further
updates! |
